If you just browse
You don't need an account to use most of the site. We don't run adverts, analytics or tracking scripts, and we don't sell or share data with anyone for marketing.
Like any website, our server sees your IP address and browser with each request. These go in short-lived server logs, used only to keep the site running and stop abuse.
If you log in with Discord
Discord tells us your Discord user ID, username and avatar. That's all we ask for: we never see your email, password, servers or messages. We keep these so your account and Premium work on any device, and show your name and avatar in the corner of the site.
If you buy Premium
Payment happens on Stripe's own checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us your customer and subscription IDs, whether the subscription is active and when it renews, and we keep those to switch Premium on and off. Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
We only use cookies the site needs to work:
- Your login, kept in an encrypted cookie while you're logged in.
- Which server you last looked at, so the site opens on it next time (one year).
- Where to send you back to after logging in (10 minutes).
- Login check between our domains, so logging in on DonutMarket also logs you in on BagelMarket (one day).
Minecraft data
Our scanner bots read what any player can see in game on the servers we track: auction house listings, buy orders, Quick Buy prices and the richest-players list. The richest-players page shows in-game usernames and balances exactly as the server shows them publicly. If you'd like your username taken off the site, email us and we'll remove it.
Other services the site uses
- Discord, to log you in.
- Stripe, to take payments.
- Google Fonts: your browser downloads the site's fonts from Google, which sees your IP address when it does.
- A server we rent to host the site and its database.
How long we keep it
Your account stays until you ask us to delete it. Server logs are cleared regularly. Records of payments are kept by Stripe for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email us and we'll do it within 30 days. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Premium subscription by itself: cancel that first from the Premium page. Depending on where you live (for example the UK or EU), you may also be able to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly hold data about them. If you think a child has made an account, let us know and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, the date at the top will change too. If we ever start collecting something new about you, we'll say so on the site first.
